Ube flavored sugar cookie dough with white chocolate chips and sprinkles. If you have never had ube before, the flavor has a sweet nutty taste that is popular in Filipino food.
There is no actual ube in this cookie…we are keeping it easy by using ube flavoring from Dolce Foglia. The addition of white chocolate chips adds the perfect amount of sweetness to compliment the ube.

Print RecipeIngredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ube flavoring
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles
Instructions
Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugars. Once creamy, add the egg, vanilla extract and ube flavoring. Mix on medium-high until fully incorporated.
Change the mixer to low and add the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix until combined.
Remove the bowl from the mixer and fold in the white chocolate and sprinkles. Chill dough for 4-5 hours or overnight.
Once chilled, preheat oven to 350-degrees and line a large sheet pan with a silpat or parchment paper. Scoop standard sized cookie dough balls and place on the sheet a few inches apart.
Bake cookies for approximately 12-minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Remove from oven and let cookies set for 15-20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
