Because sometimes you just need sprinkles! And sprinkles make me happy! This SUPER easy cookie recipe has a chocolate chip cookie dough base, but instead of chocolate chips, you add SPRINKLES!! So colorful and fun. And again…this is a NO FAIL cookie recipe for all my “non-bakers” out there!
I made these cookies for those people that don’t like chocolate (yes….there are a few of them out there!), but deserve to enjoy the flavors of a chocolate chip cookie. So instead of the usual sugar cookie dough used for sprinkle cookies, I used my favorite chocolate chip cookie dough base, left out the chocolate and added sprinkles!
Sprinkle Cookies
Print RecipeIngredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (I used Rodelle Gourmet Vanilla Extract)
- 2 egg yolks
- 1-1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- pinch of nutmeg
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350-degrees and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl mix together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until combined. Stir in the egg yolks. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch and mix until just combined. Fold in the sprinkles.
Use a standard sized cookie scoop to scoop cookie dough balls and place onto prepared cookie sheet. Leave a few inches between the dough balls. Bake cookies in 350-degrees for 9-12 minutes, depending on your desired cookie doneness.
Let cookies set on cookie sheet for 5-minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

July 11, 2019 at 2:16 PMKelly! I had the same problem. My suggestion is to clear out the ones that don’t (or have never) opened your newsletter email. That way you stay below the limits and you keep the people that actually open it! If that makes sense. Anyway, chat with me more if you have any questions!! And YES these cookies look amazing! I love that they’re easy enough for non-bakers!

July 17, 2019 at 7:33 AMThanks Katherine! I sent an email to all my subscribers asking them to reply if they wanted to continue receiving my emails and am manually sending my emails out now. I am sure there is a better way, but for now that works 🙂 XOXO
