This article has links to several Oktoberfest-inspired recipes, perfect for celebrating. Whether going to a party or just celebrating at home, here are a few recipes to go with that mug of beer.
Oktoberfest is an annual festival in Munich, Germany, held over a two-week period and ending on the first Sunday in October. The festival originated on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.
These are definitely not “traditional” Oktoberfest foods, but all would be fun to bring or serve at any Oktoberfest party!
Defintely not traditional German fare, but switch out the hot dogs for your favorite bratwurst or sausage and top with crushed pretzels for a fun appetizer.
Use a boneless pork chop instead of chicken to make it a pork schnitzel!
CINNAMON STREUSEL MUFFINS WITH BEER DRIZZLE
CHOCOLATE CHIP PRETZEL COOKIES
And if you are in South Lake Tahoe during their annual Oktoberfest Festival, definitely check it out! I talked about it in my post below:
