Happy Weekend! Hopefully everyone is recovering from their Thanksgiving feasts and survived Black Friday, if you were so inclined to engage in the shopping craziness. Me? No. Friday I didn’t even leave the house (except for a quick run with the dog) and I had Season 2 of Gilmore Girls on non-stop play. I am TRYING to catch up on all seasons of Gilmore Girls before I watch the newly released episodes on Netflix, but I almost feel like this is a hopeless battle. I would have to watch nonstop for a week in order to catch up. So now it’s just on in the background while I do other stuff. Like bake. Blog. Clean. Decorate for Christmas. Wrap Christmas presents. You know.
You need a good laugh…click here! But be prepared to laugh out loud. I am guilty of almost everything on this list 😉
Need an idea on what to do with all those Thanksgiving leftovers? Check out this epic list of mouthwatering recipes!
I found the perfect Christmas shirt for me…. here. This website is awesome and has a ton of funny t-shirts (and 30% off right now for Black Friday)!!
Holiday baking season is upon us! Baking is a year-round thing for me, but I am all over the traditional holiday goodies (I mean who eats gingerbread in July?). So that being said…what is your favorite holiday treat?? I am thinking about making either gingerbread cookies or a gingerbread loaf cake, or maybe some soft molasses cookies. Those just seem to scream Christmas to me! THOUGHTS?????

Ahhhh…what have I been up to this week? A lot of baking. I made some butterscotch caramel spice cookies, two pies, two dozen cupcakes, ganache, buttercream and chocolate truffles, I did some crazy pre-Thanksgiving grocery shopping (some lasting memories made at Winco hehehe), long walks with the dogs and generally holed up in the house watching TV and avoiding Thanksgiving/Black Friday madness. My family went camping over Thanksgiving and my hubby was at work, so I had a pretty chill Thanksgiving Day! I did make the pies (Pumpkin Pie and Snickers Pie) for the guys at the firehouse though!
Awwww…happy firefighters! I love the crew James works with right now too, so I am always happy to bake for them and stop by for a visit!
I spent the rest of Thanksgiving baking cupcakes for an order due on Friday. I decorated them Fall-themed for a “Friendsgiving.”
I already have most of my Christmas shopping done. I still can’t find the new Nintendo NES Console ANYWHERE! And I have tried….They only shipped out a few to each store and I guess they sell out immediately. Oh well. I will get one eventually and then I will let you know if it’s worth all the hype.
So tell me…what was your favorite part of Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for? Did you go Black Friday shopping??? Leave me a comment!
Me and the hubs….on Thanksgiving. Gee, we are really casual huh?!?! 😉
XOXO,
Kelly Lynn
