Pumpkin Spice Cheerios, pumpkin spice mallows, pumpkin spice extract and pumpkin spice are all added together to make these BASIC Pumpkin Spice Cheerios Treats! I crammed as much pumpkin spice flavor, in every form possible as I could, into these cereal treats!
Have you seen the limited edition Pumpkin Spice Cheerios?! If you can’t find these, you can also just use regular Cheerios or event Honey Roasted.
If you can find these Pumpkin Spice Mallows, use them! If not, regular mini marshmallows work just fine instead.
So there’s no actual pumpkin in these treats folks. But are you looking for a cereal treat with real pumpkin in them check out my Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispies Treats! Similar to these treats….but different.
Pumpkin Spice Cheerios Marshmallow Treats
Print RecipeIngredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 (8-ounce) bag Pumpkin Spice Mallows (or regular marshmallows)
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 2/3 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice extract (I used Rodelle)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
- 4 cups Pumpkin Spice Cheerios (or regular Cheerios)
- 4 cups Rice Krispies
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Line a 9x13-inch pan with foil and spray the bottom and sides with baking spray. Set aside.
In a large pot on the stovetop, over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the Pumpkin Spice Mallows and the mini marshmallows. Stir occasionally until the marshmallows have completely melted. Remove the pot from the stove.
Stir in the white chocolate chips, pumpkin spice extract, salt and pumpkin spice into the marshmallow mixture. Once throughly combined, add the cereal, one cup at a time to to the marshmallow mixture. Stir each cup into the mixture completely before adding the additional cups. Once all the cereal has been incorporated, pour the mixture out into the prepared pan into an even layer (spray one hand with baking spray to gently push the mixture into an even layer).
Option to add sprinkles. Let treats cool in the pan completely before cutting into desired sized squares.
Notes
Store treats in an air tight container at room temperature.
So where can you find all the pumpkin spice goodness used to make these treats?? The Pumpkin Spice Cheerios cereal I found at my local grocery store (Winco)…but I have also seen it at Target. The pumpkin spice marshmallows were scored from Target. Pumpkin spice can be found at most grocery stores or you can make your own and pumpkin spice extract can be purchased from Rodelle!
XOXO,
Kelly
