Nutella Peanut Butter Candy

Nutella and peanut butter are married together in this simple candy recipe, requiring only three ingredients and a microwave!  No candy thermometer needed.  If you are looking for a decadent candy treat to make for Valentine’s Day, this is the recipe for you.

My ex father-in-law first introduced me to Peanut Butter Candy during a visit to him in Ohio several years ago.  After begging for the recipe non-stop, he caved and sent me the recipe.  Which consisted of just two ingredients.  That candy was SO good, you would never imagine it only took two ingredients to make it!  So to put a spin on that candy recipe, I added Nutella (because Nutella is always a GOOD idea).

I used an entire 9.5-ounce jar of Rigoni di Asiago Nicciolata Dairy Free Hazelnut Spread in this candy recipe.  I love the quality of this hazelnut spread (which is also dairy free!!).  You can totally use Nutella or any other brand of hazelnut spread though.  But mmmmm.  I could eat this stuff straight out of the jar with a spoon!  And because it is so close to Valentine’s Day, I figured I might as well as add some heart sprinkles on top, right?!  But feel free to add any sprinkles you want (for whichever holiday it may be) or leave the sprinkles off completely.

Serves: 40 squares Cooking Time: 1-minute

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-ounce) package vanilla almond bark
  • 1 cup hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

1

Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil and spray the bottom and sides with baking spray. In a large microwave safe bowl, add the almond bark and melt in the microwave, stopping every 15-seconds to stir. Once the almond bark has melted completely (approximately 60-90 seconds), remove from the microwave and stir in the hazelnut spread and peanut butter.

2

Stir until the three ingredients are completely incorporated and then pour into the prepared pan. Option to add sprinkles. Let the candy set in the pan completely before cutting into desired squares.

Notes

Store candy at room temperature in an airtight container. Candy will stay fresh for 2 weeks.

XOXO,

Kelly

We love Nutella at our house and this candy looks and sounds marvelous! And of course, everything that you make is always so pretty. Plus how can you go wrong with 3 ingredients!?!
