Edible cookie dough balls, that are keto-diet friendly and SUPER easy to make! These are little balls of goodness made with protein powder, coconut flour and a few other pantry staples. The perfect after workout snack. And you can flavor the cookie dough with endless options!
So these cookie dough balls aren’t my recipe! It’s my friend, GiGi Ashworth’s recipe, from her book, “She Does Keto.” I was SO excited to get my hands on a copy of her book and check out all the recipes….so of course I had to share one of the recipes with you guys!! But besides so many yummy recipes, the book also includes a plethora of information about the keto diet, why the diet works and shopping lists to help set you up for success.
And GiGi knows what she’s talking about…she has a degree in journalism and nutrition. This girl has brains and beauty! I visited her back in December for her baby shower and GiGi is just an amazing person with such an energy about her. I can’t wait to go back and visit again now that her baby boy is here!
But back to She Does Keto….it was hard to pick just one recipe to make from her book to share with you guys. The churros (page 191) were screaming my name….but then there were also the winter squash pancakes (page 48), the minestrone soup (page 90) and meatloaf muffins (page 137) for the boys. YUM! So basically you need to buy THIS book now! And then make these cookie dough balls first. You won’t be disappointed!!
All you need are a few ingredients….
And then just mix all the ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl! You can make your balls as big or small as you want them. I made mine about a tablespoon sized.
Keto Cookie Dough Balls
Print RecipeIngredients
- 2 scoops keto-approved protein powder
- 2 tablespoons coconut flour
- 2 teaspoons erythritol
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or extract flavor of your choice)
- 1/4 cup water or unsweetened nondairy milk of choice
- 2 teaspoons sugar free chocolate chips, freeze-dried strawberries, nuts or cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the protein powder, coconut flour, erythritol, coconut oil, extract, water or milk and optional mix-in's (if using). Mix until well combined and everything is evenly distributed.
Roll the dough into 10-12 balls and put on a plate. Option to freeze the balls.
The dough balls can be eaten at room temperature or chilled.
Notes
Store cookie dough balls in the refrigerator.
So how do these taste?! AH-MAZING!! I am not big on protein shakes, so being able to mix my protein into these cookie dough balls instead has me all excited 🙂 Plus it literally takes just minutes to make these little guys!
And I will tell you a secret….I am not on the keto-diet, but this cookbook has a ton of recipes that are just plain healthy and good for you. Also, if you have someone in your family who has food allergies, then this is the cookbook for you. If you are familiar with GiGi’s blog, GiGi Eats Celebrities, then you know that GiGi has a ton of food allergies and creates her recipes to be dairy free, fruit free, gluten free, nut free and sugar free so a lot of the recipes in her book are great for those with severe food allergies too.

June 24, 2019 at 2:25 AMMy favorite keto meal?! I have so many – it depends on what I’m in the mood for.
Last week I made an incredible one pan meal with shrimp, cherry tomatoes, spinach, cream, butter, garlic, and probably things I’m forgetting. It was a last minutes throw-together so I needed something to serve with it. I had frozen cauliflower that I boiled then tossed with butter, salt, and pepper. I combined them all together and it was fantastic.
Just when I think I’ve found my favorite, I find one I like even more1

June 24, 2019 at 11:45 AMHi Kelly,
My husband and I are 3 week’s into our Keto journey. I am not sure what protein powder is. But, I am going to look it up on Amazon. I have been reading everything I can about Keto. This recipe look’s yummy. Right now our favorite Keto recipe is pork green chili stew. I serve it over shredded lettuce and too with cheese.
Enjoy your day,
Brenda
Kelly
June 24, 2019 at 4:56 PMHi Brenda! So the protein powder is something typically taken after a workout and they have keto-diet friendly protein powders, so that’s what the recipe ingredient is. Amazon would definitely have it! Great source of protein 🙂 I love the sound of your pork green chili stew! You will have to check back in and let me know how your keto journey is going 🙂 XOXO

June 24, 2019 at 1:08 PMI AM NOT SURE WHAT A KETO MEAL IS…BUT I AM WILLING TO LEARN
Kelly
June 24, 2019 at 4:59 PMHi Emma! So the Keto diet is a high-fat, adequate protein, low carb diet. The reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis that helps with burning fat and losing weight. If you are interested in trying keto, I definitely recommend GiGi’s book, because it has SO much information in it about the diet and helps get you started! XOXO
