Jazz up a plain ol’ basic biscuit recipe by using honey butter instead of plain butter. This easy, eight ingredient recipe, is the perfect make ahead recipe to have on hand for breakfasts, or to take with you on your next campout! Who wouldn’t want a yummy, buttery biscuit with their breakfast?! No yeast required either!
I was provided with the Chef Shamy Honey Butter used in this post. Recipe, pictures, thoughts and opinions are mine.
I get so excited to participate in blogging events like #CookoutWeek 2018 because I am always introduced to new products that I fall in love with. Seriously. And who doesn’t love butter?? Well how about flavored butter?! I received Chef Shamy Honey Butter Cinnamon and Brown Sugar to create a recipe with, but before I got to making the recipe, we had to taste test the butter right? Oh man….the boys LOVE this butter. It’s good slathered on a toasty hot piece of bread. Reminiscent of when mom used to make us cinnamon bread aka: white toast covered with butter and cinnamon and sugar. Mmmmmm….
But I had to create a recipe using the butter and I didn’t think making toast slathered with this butter would cut it? So I was determined to create a recipe that was all about this awesome butter! I used the honey butter in the actual biscuit recipe, but of course I added more of the honey butter on my biscuit once it was baked. You can never have TOO much butter, amirite?!
Honey Butter Biscuits
Print RecipeIngredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- pinch of nutmeg
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened (I used Chef Shamy Honey Butter Cinnamon & Brown Sugar variety)
- 3⁄4 cup milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix the flour, baking powder nutmeg and salt in a bowl. Using a fork, add the softened butter till the mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in the milk.
Knead on a floured surface untill dough no longer sticks to your hands. Roll out until about 1/2 an inch thick. Use a floured glass or cookie cutter, cut dough into circles, about 1-1/2 inches wide.
Place biscuits on parchment covered baking sheet and bake in 450-degree oven for 10 minutes or untill golden on the edges.
When serving, serve warm, topped with more Chef Shamy Honey Butter.
Notes
Store leftover biscuits at room temperature in an airtight container.
If you want to try out this butter (and you totally should!) Chef Shamy is offering 10% off from 6/24/18-7/4/18 by entering offer code: 10BUTTER10 at checkout. You can find it HERE on Amazon.

June 28, 2018 at 10:55 AMI love honey butter and cinnamon. These biscuits sound delicious. It made me think of a cinnamon roll. (I know that I would need frosting on my cinnamon roll, but honey butter sounds pretty good). Thank you for the recipe.

July 31, 2018 at 12:49 AMooh yum, these sound so amazing Kelly! I love me a good homemade biscuit with butter but these honey butter varieties sound even better. My mom used to buy honey butter all the time when I was a kid but I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. I haven’t seen this company up here in Canada but maybe I can order online or search for it somewhere here in Ontario. I love cinnamon too so that honey cinnamon combo sounds delightful 😀
