Make your own Grinch-mas Deco Mesh Christmas Wreath. This post includes the materials and instructions on making your very own Grinch themed Christmas wreath.
This post is to give you some design inspiration, so if you want step-by-step directions (with pictures!), check out this POST.
All the materials I used for my wreath came from Hobby Lobby and Amazon. I love their 16-inch work wreaths, because they come in seasonal colors, so it helps to hide the pipe cleaner thingies after you are all done attaching the deco mesh.
MATERIALS:
- 16-inch work wreath
- one roll 10-inch x 30-feet deco mesh
- one roll 6-inch x 3-yards deco mesh
- decorative ornaments
- holiday sign
- hot glue, glue gun, scissors
Set your wreath so the bottom, outermost edge is flat the floor. Open all the pipe cleaner grabbers, so they are erect. Unwrap the larger roll of deco mesh and secure the beginning of your deco mesh to one set of grabbers from the inner circle. Make a 3-inch loop with the deco mesh and secure the loop to the grabbers next to where you secured the deco mesh. Continue making loops, going in a counter-clockwise direction until the inner circle is complete with loops. Transition to the outer circle. Continue to make loops until ALL the deco mesh has been used.
Use the smaller roll of deco mesh to accent the main deco mesh, filling in the wreath so it is full and fluffy. I did not use the entire roll of my accent deco mesh. Once you are satisfied with the deco mesh part of your wreath, close the grabbers and push down so they can’t be seen.
Then add your ornaments and sign by hot gluing them wherever you like. Because this was Grinch themed, I definitely made this over the top with the amount of ornaments and Grinch items that I glued to the front. I used red sparkly floral loops from Hobby Lobby and Grinch wooden gift tags I found on Amazon. The assortment of bells and mini ornaments were from Hobby Lobby.
