An easy-to-follow tutorial on how to make your own football-themed, decorated cupcakes. Also included in this post are recipes for my favorite chocolate and vanilla cupcake recipes and the BEST buttercream frosting!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Cupcakes
- Frosting – divided into two bowls
- Green food coloring
- Wilton frosting tips 1A and 234
- Chocolate footballs
CONSTRUCTION:
- Separate the frosting into two bowls, one natural colored and one with added green food coloring. Add the white frosting into a piping bag fitted with Wilton 1A tip. Add the green frosting to a piping bag fitted with Wilton 234 tip.
- Position the white frosting piping bag straight above the naked cupcakes. Gently apply pressure to apply a swirl of white frosting.
- Take the piping bag with the green frosting and hold it at a 90-degree angle and gently squeeze and pull up in tiny bursts to make short pieces of frosting that resemble grass, partially covering the white frosting.
- Top with a chocolate football. I used a football candy mould and used chocolate melts to make my footballs.
