Hi y’all! I am taking another break from all things yummy to share with you this post on how to make your own Fall/Thanksgiving themed deco mesh wreath! You guys know I love crafts and making deco mesh wreaths has become one of my favorite little projects to do. So of course I need a deco mesh wreath for EVERY holiday! This wreath is great because you can leave it on the front door from September through the end of November!!
Today I am sharing how to decorate a deco mesh wreath in a Fall theme. If you would like step by step directions on making the actual loops and attaching the deco mesh to the wreath, then read this POST. That post has step by step directions (with pictures!!), to make it as easy as possible for you to make your own deco mesh wreath.
Ok! First, gather all your supplies. You will need one 16-inch work wreath, one 10-inch x 30-feet deco mesh ribbon in your primary color (brown plaid) and a secondary accent color (I ended up using leftover accent deco mesh ribbon from my Halloween deco mesh wreath I made), a Fall sign and Fall-themed decorations.
Take your work wreath and erect all of the attached pipe cleaner grabbers. Next, take your primary color and attach the deco mesh, making 2-inch loops, until you have added the deco mesh to the entire wreath and the entire roll of deco mesh is used.
Next, add your accent deco mesh (the smaller roll of deco mesh ribbon), attaching small loops, criss crossing across the wreath.
Close all of the wreath grabber, pipe cleaner thingies and then add your decorations. I found this metallic leaf floral pick in my craft supply closet and thought the leaves would look perfect woven through the deco mesh loops. Attach the leaves with a small amount of hot glue.
I found these cute little owl ornaments and used the string attached to them, to tie them to the wreath. A cute harvest sign, perfect for the middle of the wreath!
Easy Peasy! I guess I should get working on a Christmas deco mesh wreath now?!
XOXO,
Kelly
