Easy, from scratch guacamole. Made in one bowl and cheaper than buying the pre-made stuff! Great side dish to serve with chips, or spread it on top of hamburgers or sandwiches. Make this easy guacamole next time you are bringing a side dish to a party…because who doesn’t love guacamole and chips?!
So there I was. In search of a side dish to bring to a party with me, where hamburgers were on the menu. Mmmm… how about guacamole and chips?! YESSSSS!! But have you ever bought guacamole from the store before?! Holy Guacamole Batman! That stuff is expensive. Plus this girl likes to make stuff from scratch…and when a recipe is as easy as this is to make, then making guacamole from scratch is the answer. Plus I would estimate that this guacamole recipe (which will feed a crowd) only cost me $5 to make!! This recipe is a total score in so many ways!
Easy Guacamole
Print RecipeIngredients
- 4 ripe avocados (I used Hass), with skin and pit removed
- 1-1/2 tablespoons lime juice, divided
- 4 roma tomatoes, deseeded and finely diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (I used Spices Inc Pennsylvania Pepper)
- pinch of cayenne (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher. Stir in one tablespoon of lime juice. Stir in the diced tomato, diced onion, cilantro, salt, black pepper, cayenne and remaining 1/2 tablespoon of lime juice. Gently stir until combined.
Store guacamole in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
Guacamole is best eaten the same day it is made, but will stay fresh 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
The Pennsylvania Pepper from Spices Inc that I used in this recipe is my FAVORITE ground pepper. The taste is amazing…and I am a black pepper loving girl. Want even more recipes using amazing spices? Check out Spices Inc!
XOXO,
Kelly

May 4, 2019 at 7:38 PMI love that you have added tomatoes to your guac. Honestly, guacamole without tomatoes seems a bit not exciting, in my opinion. Have a fabulous weekend Kelly:)
