My version of the Disney Resorts Floridian Chocolate Chip Cookies. These cookies use powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar and are baked in a 330-degree oven. Super easy to make and a very yummy chocolate chip cookie.
The only change I made from the recipe posted on the Disney Resort website was that I only used 1/2 cup of butter instead of 10-tablespoons butter and I chilled my cookie dough balls for an hour before baking. The original recipe doesn’t require chilling. So you can try it either way.
Disney’s Floridian Resort Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Print RecipeIngredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (I used Rodelle Baker’s Extract)
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Using a mixer on medium-high speed, combine together the butter, brown sugar and powdered sugar until fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla and salt. Mix until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl.
Slowly add the flour and baking sugar, mixing until barely combined. Stir in thechocolate chips.
Scoop 1 tablespoon dough for medium cookies and 2 tablespoons for large onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper or Silpats. Chill dough for 1-hour in the refrigerator.
Once dough has chilled, preheat oven to 330-degrees. Bake until light golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes for medium cookies, 12 to 14 minutes for large.
Allow cookies to set for 5-minutes after baking before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
