Crockpot Orange Chicken

Just five ingredients and 3-hours in the crockpot are all you need to make this easy Orange Chicken.  Chicken breasts, orange marmalade, BBQ sauce (YES!!), teriyaki sauce and soy sauce are the only ingredients needed when making this family-friendly dinner recipe.

Crockpot Orange Chicken

Print Recipe
Serves: 8 Cooking Time: 3-hours

Ingredients

  • 4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks (approximately 2-lbs of chicken)
  • 3/4 cup sweet orange marmalade (or 1/2 cup if you don't want it too orange-y in flavor)
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce

Instructions

1

In a large skillet on the stovetop, over medium heat, brown the chunks of chicken. Chicken does not have to be completely cooked through, just cook until the chicken is mostly cooked. Remove pan from the stove and drain any liquid from the pan.

2

In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the marmalade, BBQ sauce, soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring the chicken and sauced is mixed together. Put the lid on the crockpot and cook on low for 3-hours.

3

Sauce may look thin after it is done coking, but it will thicken up later. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Serve with rice and broccoli or with a cauliflower rice vegetable mix!  Whatever your family likes.

Oh My Goodness, thank you for sharing this recipe. I’ve made this dish, in the past, But, it always seemed to be lacking something. I never thought about teriyaki sauce. You live, you cook, you learn.

About how many cups or pounds would the chicken breast equal to? Chicken breasts can really vary in size.

    Thanks
