Count Chocula and Rice Krispies cereal, white chocolate and marshmallows are combined to make a spookily good marshmallow treat. ย And this cereal treat is special just for October…when Count Chocula hits the store shelves!

I think these marshmallow treats would be perfect to bring to your Halloween party and they are so easy to make!

Count Chocula Marshmallow Treats

Print Recipe
Serves: 30 Cooking Time: 2-minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 cups mini marshmallows, divided
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 cups Count Chocula cereal (or chocolate Cheerios)
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

1

Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil and spray with baking spray. Set aside.

2

In a large pot, on the stovetop over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add six cups of mini marshmallows. Stir the mixture until the marshmallows are completely melted. Remove the pot from the stove and stir in the white chocolate, vanilla extract and salt. Stir in the Count Chocula and Rice Krispies one cup at a time to the marshmallow mixture, stirring until combined. Stir in the remaining cup of marshmallows.

3

Pour mixture out into prepared pan and sprinkle chocolate sprinkles on top. Let bars cool and set completely before cutting into desired sized squares.

But wait….can’t find Count Chocula?! ย Use Chocolate Cheerios!!

XOXO,

Kelly

There’s no way these would make it to a Halloween party at my house unless I made a double batch :). YUM!

As soon as the halloween cereals hit the shelves my Dad (a big kid at heart) has my mom stock up on them. He loves that sugary goodness, he actually sprinkles his bowls with extra sugar. Maybe I should make him this treat as another way for him to enjoy that count chocula. LOL

haha I love your spooky voice!! These are amazing Kelly! I LOVED count chocula as a kid…yum so I can only imagine how insane these bars are. I’ll tell you if I could eat gluten, I’d be still eating the cereal today AND making these asap! haha I have never tried adding white chocolate to my cereal type treats, what a great idea. DO you add that to your rice krispie treats as well? I can def eat rice krispies at least ๐Ÿ˜€ I need to find this chocolate brand, haven’t seen it in Canada yet but maybe I can order it online. These are putting right into Halloween mode, now if only I can finish painting my parents’ house (we’re selling it very soon) so I can finally get back to my baking! I’m missing it so much. Almost done now, thank the lord…woohooo! Happy Wedneday girl!.
