Craft time! Craft time! Craft time!! It has been FAR too long since I have shared a craft tutorial here on the blog. So when I decided to make a new wreath for the front door, I knew I had to share it with you! This wreath looks like it would cost you upwards of $100 at a boutique, but if you get your items on sale like I did, you can make this wreath for under $30. The classic greenery on this wreath make it appropriate for any season.
All the materials I used to make this wreath were purchased at Hobby Lobby. I shopped the sales and used 40% off coupons to buy everything needed for this wreath. Grab your glue gun and lets get crafting!!
MATERIALS
-
24-inch Grapevine Wreath
-
20 Lambs Ear Stems (more or less depending on how full you want your wreath)
-
3 bunches Field Grass Sprays
-
2 bunches Wheat Botanic Artistry Mini Cattail Stems
-
hot glue
STEP ONE
Gather all of your supplies and cut the individual stems from the bunches.
Arrange the lambs ear on the wreath in a clockwise direction. Once you are satisfied with how the lambs ear is laid out, apply hot glue to each stem and secure onto wreath.
STEP TWO
Arrange the field grass stems onto the wreath in a clockwise direction, covering any bare spots on the wreath. Secure the field grass stems onto the wreath with hot glue.
STEP THREE
Add the cattails throughout the wreath in a clockwise direction and secure with hot glue.
STEP FOUR
Hang your wreath on your front door for all to admire!
Super easy and looks great! Depending on the holiday, I add a center piece to the middle. And don’y worry…I’ll be back in a few days with a yummy dessert recipe 🙂
So tell me…
-
Do you have a wreath on your front door?
-
Do you make your own wreaths?
-
Will you make this wreath?! If you do, take a pic and tag me on Instagram!
XOXO,
Kelly
