I am back with another one of my holiday deco mesh wreath creations! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for, so of course I had to make a new deco mesh wreath for my front door. Want to make your own?! Then keep on reading to see how!
I am so excited about this wreath, because I think it is my favorite of all the wreaths I have made. And it’s so easy! This post is to give you some design inspiration, so if you want step-by-step directions (with pictures!), check out this POST.
All the materials I used for my wreath came from Hobby Lobby. I love their 16-inch work wreaths, because they come in seasonal colors, so it helps to hide the pipe cleaner thingies after you are all done attaching the deco mesh.
MATERIALS:
- 16-inch work wreath
- one roll 10-inch x 30-feet deco mesh
- one roll 6-inch x 3-yards deco mesh
- decorative ornaments
- holiday sign
- hot glue, glue gun, scissors
Set your wreath so the outermost edge is flat the floor. Open all the pipe cleaner grabbers, so they are erect. Unwrap the larger roll of deco mesh and secure the beginning of your deco mesh to one set of grabbers from the inner circle. Make a 3-inch loop with the deco mesh and secure the loop to the grabbers next to where you secured the deco mesh. Continue making loops, going in a counter-clockwise direction until the inner circle is complete with loops. Transition to the outer circle. Continue to make loops until ALL the deco mesh has been used.
Use the smaller roll of deco mesh to accent the main deco mesh, filling in the wreath so it is full and fluffy. I did not use the entire roll of my accent deco mesh. Once you are satisfied with the deco mesh part of your wreath, close the grabbers and push down so they can’t be seen.
I found some sparkly ornaments at Hobby Lobby and a cute sign. I used hot glue to secure the ornaments and the sign to my wreath. And there ya go! Your own custom made wreath perfect for bringing Christmas cheer to your home.
Do you have a holiday wreath for your door? Have you ever made a deco mesh wreath before?? And don’t worry for those looking for something yummy…I have an amazing round-up of holiday dessert recipes coming up next!
XOXO,
Kelly

December 5, 2017 at 6:58 PMI adore your multi talented personality Kelly!!! These are so fun and doesn’t look difficult. Will be so pretty on the front door (which by the way is empty as of now). So, may be I need to make this instead of shopping around for some generic wreaths:)
