Chocolate no churn ice cream, with chunks of Oreo cookies and chocolate chip cookies added to the ice cream. No churn ice cream is the easiest ice cream to make and no ice cream maker is required. You can have homemade, creamy, dreamy ice cream made in less than five minutes with less than five ingredients!
I have made quite a few no churn ice cream recipes for the blog, but realized I did not have a chocolate no churn ice cream recipe! I had some leftover heavy cream from a batch of buttercream frosting, and figured making ice cream would make good use of it! Ice cream is the king of all desserts in our household….summer time through winter!
You can add whatever mix-in’s you want to your chocolate ice cream. I just so happened to have some Marshmallow Moon Oreo Cookies in the pantry and that just sounded like a fun idea for an ice cream mix-in! And of course a few chocolate chips might have fallen into the ice cream too hehehe.
Fresh cream and quality cocoa powder are important to use in the recipe since this ice cream has such few ingredients. I love the gourmet baking cocoa powder from Rodelle! So luxurious!
Before whipping your cream, mix up the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder and vanilla extract in a small bowl:
Chocolate Cookie No Churn Ice Cream
Print RecipeIngredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I used Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa Powder)
- 20 Oreo cookies, broken into small pieces
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
In a medium sized bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, affixed with the whisk attachment, add the heavy whipping cream. Whip the cream on medium-high speed until the cream thickens and you reach stiff peak status. You have stiff peaks when you can turn the whisk upside down, with the cream on it, and the peak still holds its shape. Fold in the sweetened condensed milk mixture, Oreo cookie chunks and chocolate chips into the whipped cream and pour ice cream into two reusable ice cream containers or a 9-inch loaf pan. Place in freezer to freeze overnight.
XOXO,
Kelly
