Another wreath?! Yes!! But this one is a bit different from the deco mesh ones I am always creating. I love the vibrant green color of the boxwood and decided to use it on a wreath to make the perfect Spring wreath for my front door. All you need is a wreath base, boxwood florals and a hot glue gun! Make this easy boxwood wreath for your front door, by following the simple step-by-step directions below.
Commercial Silk International contacted me and asked me if I was interested in reviewing one of their products on the blog, and share my review with my readers. I said yes…because you know how much I love making wreaths and sharing them with you!! Commercial Silk sent me the boxwood artificial plants used to make this wreath, however all thoughts, opinions and pictures are my own.
I was definitely impressed with the quality of their product. The quality of the product makes a difference when using artificial plants and flowers, because you don’t want something that looks cheap and fake! And these definitely don’t.
Ok. You ready to get your craft on?!
SUPPLIES:
-
1 Grapevine wreath (I used a medium sized one that I bought from Michael’s)
-
3 bunches artificial boxwood plants
-
Hot glue
Cut the boxwood leaves from the long stem they are on and glue the boxwood bunches individually, onto the wreath. Glue the boxwoods so they are all going in the same direction.
This is how much coverage I got from one bunch of boxwoods:
And after much gluing (and burning the tips of my fingers)….
I love the simplicity and classic look of this wreath…it is my new favorite. And as long as you know how to use a hot glue gun, you can make this wreath too. So easy!
Commercial Silk also sells decorative artificial plants, that are ready for your home or office without having to craft anything. This is a great option for people like me that are lacking in the green thumb department 😉
