Bacon and ham are the stars in this easy quiche recipe, that I also like to call “Piggy Pie.” Because of all the pork! If you need an easy breakfast or brunch recipe to feed a crowd, I have you covered! This quiche is made using a frozen pie crust, fresh ham, cooked bacon, cheese, eggs and cream.
This quiche is totally open to options though too. Add some veggies or different kinds of meat to yours…to make it full of the flavors and ingredients you like.
While your frozen pie crust is in the oven for 5-minutes, whip up your egg and cream mixture and get your fillings ready…
And now you are ready to bake! Keep in mind that this quiche does take awhile to bake and it also needs to rest 15-20 minutes prior to cutting into it. Just a heads up!!
Bacon and Ham Quiche
Print RecipeIngredients
- 1 frozen pie crust (I used one Marie Callenders 8-ounce frozen pie shell)
- 3/4 cup diced ham
- 4 strips of crispy bacon, cut into pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 eggs
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375-degrees. Remove your frozen pie shell from the freezer and use a fork to prick several holes onto the bottom of the pie shell. Bake frozen pie shell for 5-minutes, then remove from oven and set aside.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the heavy cream, eggs and garlic powder. Whisk until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Layer half of the ham, bacon and cheese on the bottom of the par-baked pie crust. Pour half of the egg mixture over the top. Layer the remaining ham, bacon and cheese and pour remaining egg mixture over the top, completely covering the quiche.
Line a large baking sheet with foil and place quiche on top (this will make any spillover during baking easy to clean up). Place quiche in 375-degree oven and bake for 10-minutes. After 10-minutes, lower the temperature of the oven to 350-degrees and continue baking quiche for 40-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out without raw egg on it. The quiche should be golden brown on top when it is done.
Remove baked quiche from the oven and let set for 15-20 minutes before cutting it into slices.
Notes
Cover pie tin with plastic wrap and store leftover quiche in the refrigerator.
XOXO, Kelly

December 7, 2018 at 1:59 PMthis looks so yummy, kelly! I love quiche, especially one with lots of cheese. I don’t make it often but I usually just use veggies and cheese or whatever I have in the fridge at the time. I love to add bacon if I have it, so I know I would love this one. Looks so creamy and delicious! I agree with you, breakfast for dinner is THE best! I almost always have quiche with a salad or potatoes for supper. Thanks for sharing, darlin’! definitely pinning!
