I took the new Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and turned it into a yummy marshmallow cereal treat, perfect for Fall with warm, cinnamon-y spices added to the treats!
Have you seen the new Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal?! It’s an apple flavored twist on my favorite cereal: Cinnamon Toast Crunch. You can definitely taste the apple in this cereal variety, and I spiced the treats up even more by adding some apple pie spice to the mix. These are an easy and fun treat to make for Fall!
I use white chocolate chips in my marshmallow treats….don’t skip this ingredient!! You can’t taste the white chocolate. The white chocolate helps to add a richness and creamy flavor to the treats. Trust me 🙂
Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats
Print RecipeIngredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 (16-ounce) bag mini marshmallows, divided
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 6 cups Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
Instructions
Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil and spray the bottom and sides with baking spray. Set aside.
In a medium sized pot, on the stovetop over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted add the bag of marshmallows, reserving one cup of marshmallows for after cooking. Stir mixture until marshmallows are completely melted.
Remove the pot from the stovetop and immediately stir in the vanilla extract, the white chocolate chips and spices. Stir until the white chocolate chips are mostly melted.
Add the cereal into the marshmallow mixture, one cup at a time, mixing each cup of cereal in completely before adding each subsequent cup of cereal. Stir in the reserved cup of mini marshmallows.
Pour mixture out into prepared baking pan, pushing the mixture into an even layer in the pan. If you love cinnamon, sprinkle the top of the cereal treats with a dash of cinnamon.
Let marshmallow treats cool completely in the pan before using a sharp knife to cut into desired sized squares. Store treats at room temperature in an airtight container.
Notes
You can use 1 teaspoon apple pie spice in place of the cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
XOXO,
Kelly

October 10, 2017 at 9:41 AMWe didn’t have much boxed cereal for breakfast when I was growing up. I lived on a farm and had oatmeal or cooked wheat cereal most mornings, but my children have definitely had the boxed cereals growing up. They and their children will love this recipe! Thank you for sharing. Have a great day.

October 11, 2017 at 8:02 PMYou never have to apologize for using cereal in delicious treats!! This is so yummy looking! I would make it if I didn’t finish the entire box of cereal in front of the TV first haha
